THE EMERGE EXPERIENCE
Emerge Dance Project is designed to challenge, and expland the artistic boundaries of every dancer. Through immersive multi-day experiences, dancers step into a dynamic and versatile curriculum that blends technical training, creative exploration and artistic discovery.
Whether joining us for our three-day or five-day intensive, dancers are invited into an intentional environment that nurtures growth, confidence, and individuality.
A Versatile Dance Experience
Each day, dancers will participate in structured classes in a variety of dance styles and genres, led by inspiring mentors and artists. These classes will push them physically, refining their technique, versatility, and movement quality. However, Emerge is more than physical training—it’s about artistic growth. Dancers are guided beyond the movement, stepping into creative experiences that challenge them to think differently, explore deeply, and develop their unique artistic voice.
Three Divisions of Artistic Growth
A thoughtfully designed mentorship experience for dedicated dancers ages 9-19 who are ready to deepen their craft, expand their creative voice, and evolve as well-rounded artists.
To ensure each dancer is placed in the most enriching and appropriate environment for their development, Emerge offers three divisions. Each level meets dancers where they are - while gently pushing them toward their next evolution. At Emerge, age is considered a general guideline, not a limitation. Placement is based on experience, ability and the readiness to grow. Because of the level of instruction and artistic nature of the intensive, dancers are expected to have a technical foundation and have experience in dance styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Modern.
Artistry Foundations (9-10 years)
Artistry Foundations supports young dancers in cultivating expressive depth, performance quality, and confidence - laying the groundwork for thoughtful, intentional artistry as they continue to grow. In this division, young artists are encouraged to explore creatively, think outside the box, and begin discovering their unique voice in an exciting and empowering setting.
Artistry I (11-14 years)
Artistry I focuses on cultivating expressive depth, and artistic maturity - encouraging dancers to embody their movement rather than simply execute it. This level guides dancers to build a limitless mindset, to take risks and develop a stronger connection to the artist within. Through guided mentorship dancers learn to move with greater intention, confidence and authenticity.
Artistry II (15-19 years)
Artistry II cultivates artistic integrity, inviting dancers to embody their artistry with courage and conviction. This division challenges artists to take creative ownership, embrace vulnerability and step into their true identity, which is ever evolving in the world of dance and artistic expression.
Exploratory Sessions
Dancers will be pushed through their artistic boundaries, both within movement and other creative art forms. By participating in a range of artistic classes, they'll broaden their perspectives and come to see dance as an integral part of a unified art form.
To further elevate the experience, dancers will also take part in surprise classes, where they won’t know what they’re walking into until the moment they arrive. These WILDCARD sessions are designed to spark curiosity, encourage risk-taking, and challenge dancers to embrace the unknown. By going in blind, they will learn to trust their instincts, adapt quickly, and move through an improvisational style of learning that strengthens both their artistry and confidence.
A Culminating In-Studio Showing (Five-Day Intensive Only)
The five-day intensive will conclude with an in-studio showing, where friends and family are invited to witness the progress, creativity, and transformation that took place throughout the week. This is more than just a performance—it’s an opportunity to experience the journey firsthand, gaining insight into the artistic process and the unique experiences the dancers engaged in.
Professional Artistry Photoshoot (Included in all Intenvies)
As part of the Emerge Dance Project Artistry Intensive, each dancer will have the exciting opportunity to participate in a professional artistry dance photo shoot. This exclusive experience will allow students to capture their unique artistic expressions through high-quality images, showcasing their dance artistry in a creative and professional setting. This photo shoot is included in both intensives, offering dancers a chance to take home stunning photographs that reflect their growth, passion, and individuality during their time at the program.
